@giov Well, I suppose you could say it is Anglo-American, because that is what we are, as a couple. Dumplings of flour and suet are, I believe, a very old practice in England.
@jeremycherfas Interesting, thank you. I lived in the UK for a while as a student, but I don't think I ever came across this type of dumplings. Although I must say that apart from Sunday Roasts, high teas and cafeteria food, my student explorations of British cuisine has been quite limited.
