I mean that people say "a blog about Mike doing a backflip" when they should say "a blog post about Mike doing a backflip". That one's lost. And they say "a podcast about Mike doing a forward roll," when they mean "an episode about Mike doing a forward roll". Not yet lost.

@jeremycherfas I think that you are right, but I'm going to continue to use the older terms in hope that the tide could turn back.

Ahh OK I’m with you. Yes, it’s weird when ppl refer to a single episode as a podcast. I’m optimistic this is just a phase though and ‘episode’ will prevail. My hunch is based on episodic viewing/language of TV (streaming). It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out though.
