Will you be addressing the vegan drumsticks, Jeremy? 😉 I used to be addicted to them. They’re quite tasty!
@tavolamediterranea Only very tangentially. Did you prefer them to actual chicken?
@eatthispodcast No, but when I went through a vegetarian phase years ago I loved these. I’d still have them once in a while if I could find them. They fall under the Buddhist Chinese vegan/vegetarian fare which is usually incredibly tasty and very satisfying, especially in the restaurants that specialize in this fare. The best meat-free or meat substitutes out there. I’m not vegan or vegetarian now but I’m not a daily meat eater either. I prefer it only once, maybe twice a week.
Seitan based? It is the marketing I find most curious, and that we did discuss.
Enjoyed listening. Perhaps the meaty marketing is to fill that desire we all have to eat the foods of childhood, and one’s pre-vegetarian days...or maybe to stem the dreaded FOMO?
@gabrielle_schaffner I truly don’t know. Maybe because I do remember but roasts, this sort of thing has no appeal for me.
@eatthispodcast I agree! None for me either.
@jeremycherfas Loved this episode as I made me think a lot about my vegetarian diet and provided such fascinating context for everything.
@bitdepth Thanks. I'm still undecided about switching from my current flexitarian to a more mindful reducitarian.
@jeremycherfas What’s the beef with red meat?.
@khurtwilliams Moderation in all things.
