Indeed, many of the people I've talked to about cashew nuts don't know the human suffering that goes into them. I learned about it ages ago, when the World Bank interfered with cashew production in Mozambique. That capuchins manage it amazes me.

Good work so far. As you note, micro.blog already offers a lot of the IndieWeb building blocks. And it recently started to offer an option to register your own domain, addressing another of your points. It's a good option for people (who can afford it) to explore the possibilities, and the nice thing is you can always move your content somewhere else if you want to. That's another good reason not to rely on silos.

Thanks. That's a very small part of his argument, and we've just had another good chat in which I asked specifically whether the UK could exclude or tax food imports. He said, absolutely. Look at Japan. Food is a strategic issue and outside the WTO. My fear remains that after Brexit there still won't be good food system policies.

Just confirmed that my little script for posting podcasts I've listened to from Overcast to WithKnown fails when there is more than one episode of the same show in the queue. Pinning that down is going to be ... tricky.

It will be interesting to see how tonz develops this idea of an automated personal assistant. I know other people use Shortcuts in all sorts of clever ways to do similar things. I still prefer paper and pencil and a sort of bullet journal.
