Whoa! New artwork, parts of which look just like the leaves on my cannas. @cdevroe

Quite hard.

So many vowels

No coalmines around here.

Indeed it is!
A bookmark with a fixed number of sticky tags on it is a brilliant idea. No more tags? Stop reading and write notes on the things you tagged.

Stupid 162 1/0/2
Another easy one

Stupid 161 1/0/2
Nice an' easy

Stupid 160 1/0/2
Not too hard
“For Monbiot to highlight the complexity of soil but ignore the complexities involved in nutrition doesn’t make his faith in a protein techno-fix convincing.”
“It’s not clear, though, why a shift in attitudes won’t lead us to increase our intake of beans, nuts and lentils instead.”
Thank you Dan Saladino, especially for that final “Nevertheless ...”
@ECLLD Very happy to see my dreams come true. I don't understand why my reader failed to pick up the feed automatically, but I have now added it and will look forward to seeing updates as they happen.
Very disappointed that Lets Liberate Diversity @eclld does not offer any kind of feed from its website. I would much rather follow a feed than any other way.

Pure luck
“Republicans are now preparing a Fascist coup while Democrats wring their hands and dither.”
It is a worry, to be sure.

Twice is coincidence ...

Stupid 157 2/2/2
Another bad guess.

Bah! Rubbish performance today.
I dunno, maybe an underground garden (blog) isn’t such a bad idea. Maybe, in the scorching heat of social media we need a cooler, darker space for connections and discussion. Where things grow more slowly but still bear fruit 25 years later.
Makes sense to me
@neilbuttery Agreed, blackcurrant leaf tea is delicious. Right now we also have an abundance of mint that will all die back in a couple of weeks. What other leaves are good to steep fresh?
Now for the third time, after checking out the dev branch, upgrading to PHP 8.1 and running composer.phar update, let us see whether we can post a new status update here.

OK, this is weird, but I find it hard to believe that yesterday's word and today's came up purely randomly.
@cll2606 This is annoying. It seems that my install of WithKnown is not playing nicely to POSSE Twitter replies. It might be something to do with Quilll, but I doubt it. More likely to be accumulating cruft in WithKnown. I want to keep using it, but ...
I try to make my site look good on mobile, but that isn’t my primary concern. Not too difficult with so many good responsive basic packages available.

Tricky one, and also, entirely remote.
It truly is like magic being able to use my desktop computer from far away, and will be even better when I can work out how to summon Alfred. I use option-space on the Mac and cannot for the life of me work out how to send that from my iPad. Do you know?

Is it really possible that in 2022 one cannot search iCloud drive for a filename that contains, rather than starts with, a target? And that one cannot save a search? This is awful. Someone, enlighten me, please.

A lucky 5:1 shot on the final letter, not including parts of speech.

Bah! Parts of speech.

My linguistic prejudices and blinkered attitude let me down.
@RJABuggs @FoodiePharma I'm hearing that the main cold store is safe and has mostly been safety. So while there is clearly a present threat, it just isn't true that any “terrible loss to plant genetic resources” has occurred. @LiseLykkeS may know more.
Ag Economists: would anyone be willing to either talk to me or point me to something that would help me to get a better understanding of this chart from USDA?

Very difficult one; pure guesswork that failed.
Really interesting essay from Tom Armitage, about getting on his bike and getting on. The thrill of those first long rides takes me right back to my first London to Brighton and the sheer unalloyed joy of whooshing down into the town.
