Thanks @nickykylegarden, although I have also noticed that there now seem to be a fair few small commercial companies in the UK and elsewhere that have taken up the burden of supplying varieties that really suit home growers.

You would be more aware than many of the importance of preserving #geneticdiversity not just for #gardeners but also commercial #organic growers. My concern with the takeover of @ChaseOrganics & @gardenorganicuk Ryton is that it may in fact gradually restrict the choice available
