@jeremycherfas OMG. My grandma used to make the most delicious idli and sambal for breakfast, and now that she's getting too old to make them, I kick myself for never learning how from her. Hope you enjoyed — looks so delicious!

@vasta My mother told a friend hers about an item in my newsletter about International Idli Appreciation Day, and the next thing she knew the friend had brought round a stack of them, with sambal and coconut chutney.
I’d love to learn how to make them, because they freeze really well.
@macgenie And just week I was reading a long piece, which I cannot now find, about how only the Anglo-Saxons make such a fetish of foods that supposed to be eaten only at breakfast. This was a nice change.
